Here he devotes to his most cherished writing and here he meets the native Indians becoming good friends with the Watlala Tribe. Small in numbers, they faced displacement from their native land by the US Government and are forced to move to Warm Springs Indian Reservation in Central Oregon. It is not an easy transition and during the process he discovers the chief’s beautiful daughter Lawitha. 1. Sounds like a terrific plot….. think I’ll get them as soon as I can. Right now I am almost finished with the 26th novel of Preston & Child….. might take a break and look into a story of the majestic Pacific Northwest….. I moved here from Nashville, fulfilling a life-long dream of retiring to this beautiful part of God’s earth. I also believe your weather reports more than anyone else around here.
