Whispers In The Wind – Back In The Day

Next in the Whispers in the Wind series, a look at Jack Bellard’s other life as Jonathon Butler back in the 1800’s. He worked in Portland, Oregon as writer and has a remote cabin in the upper Hood River Valley on the slopes of Mount Hood. Here he devotes to his most cherished writing and here he meets the native Indians becoming good friends with the Watlala Tribe. Small in numbers, they faced displacement from their native land by the US Government and are forced to move to Warm Springs Indian Reservation in Central Oregon. It is not an easy transition and during the process he discovers the chief’s beautiful daughter Lawitha. From his heritage as an English immigrant to falling in love with the dark-haired Indian maiden, we see the other world that was now calling him home.

Whispers In The Wind – A Journey Complete

In the final chapters of the Whispers in the Wind saga, we see both worlds call to present day Jack Bellard. His memories now fully restored of a previous life over a century ago, he pondered whether to live his life in the present or travel back to the 1800’s to complete some unfinished business and secure the love of his life. He knew that he must make a choice and there would be no turning back. In 2012 he had fallen in love with Lisa while back in the day Lawitha, a beautiful Indian maiden held his heart. Will he remain in the modern world with Lisa? Or will he give up his life and travel back to the past living with Lawitha? Every trip has a beginning and an end. Every journey reaches a destination. Still, there is one final twist of fate in store for Jack. A happy ending; or a twist of destiny?

  1. Now, I am intrigued……”Whispers In The Wind”……one could lose their thoughts.

  2. Sounds like a terrific plot….. think I’ll get them as soon as I can. Right now I am almost finished with the 26th novel of Preston & Child….. might take a break and look into a story of the majestic Pacific Northwest….. I moved here from Nashville, fulfilling a life-long dream of retiring to this beautiful part of God’s earth. I also believe your weather reports more than anyone else around here.
